Consent for Electronic Signatures, Records, Disclosures, and Communication
Before submitting any information on this Site or conducting business electronically, it is important that you carefully read and understand the following information.
By providing your consent through the online form and using the services on this Site, you acknowledge that you understand how to conduct transactions, communicate electronically, and request to be connected with a lender. Once connected, you will need to provide e-consent to use electronic signatures, receive electronic records and disclosures, and communicate electronically in order to access the services and products you requested.
Hard Copies
You may request printed copies of disclosures or other legal notices at no cost. Requests should be directed to the relevant lender. Lenders may retain hard copies of legal documents in accordance with applicable law.
Scope of Consent
All communications conducted online, including via computer, mobile phone, tablet, or other electronic device, are considered electronic interactions. By providing e-consent, you authorize that your information may be collected, processed, and stored electronically, that transactions may be executed electronically, and that documents may be signed and retained in electronic form. Lenders may also send electronic notifications, reports, disclosures, and links to third-party websites and services.
Your e-consent confirms that electronic communications have the same legal validity and enforceability as paper documents.
Technical Requirements
To conduct business electronically, you must have access to compatible hardware and software. At minimum, this includes:
- A PC or Mac or other Internet-enabled device
- A valid email account
- An Internet browser with at least 128-bit encryption (e.g., Microsoft® Internet Explorer, Netscape®, Mozilla Firefox®)
- PDF reader software (e.g., Adobe® Acrobat Reader, Foxit®)
Additional technical requirements may apply depending on the transactions. Please consult your lender for any specific specifications.
Withdrawing Consent
Once you provide e-consent through this Site and are connected with a lender, your consent to our service and electronic processing of your information cannot be withdrawn. However, you may withdraw your e-consent directly with the lender at any time at no cost. Keep in mind that withdrawing consent may prevent the lender from providing you with a loan or credit product.
Withdrawal of e-consent does not affect the validity or enforceability of prior electronic disclosures or communications. It is recommended that you notify your lender promptly of any changes to your electronic or mailing address to ensure your information remains up to date.
